Progressed Matters

Either prior to or after a Conciliation conference has been held, a Conciliation Officer may wish to issue a Progress Certificate. A Progress Certificate notes that further action must be taken by one or more of the parties to progress the matter. This may occur for any of the following reasons;

  • Additional medical evidence may be obtained and provided by one or more of the parties
  • Additional factual evidence may be obtained and provided by one or more of the parties
  • A party may be given time to seek legal advice
  • A party may be given time to consider options for finalisation of the matter

Any of the above actions should be taken within the time specified by the Conciliation Officer. Once a response is received the parties may engage in further discussions with the aim of finalising the matter. If no response is received the Conciliation Officer may finalise the matter with an appropriate Outcome.
