Job Description
Conciliation Officers are appointed by the Governor in Council on the terms and for the remuneration specified by the Minister for WorkCover.
On being appointed, Conciliation Officers are engaged by the Accident Compensation Conciliation Service on the terms and conditions specified by the Minister.
Qualifications and experience as a mediator or conciliator are essential to the role. It is expected that applicants will also have relevant workers compensation knowledge and/or industrial experience and an understanding of issues that give rise to disputes in workers compensation.
